Some Questions for the American Policy Elite

As the world watches Imperial Russia’s war crimes on television, as atrocity follows atrocity, as innocent civilians are exterminated, it’s time for the policy elite of the United States to answer some simple questions. Hopefully, the public will find their answers enlightening and will enable them to recover from the nausea that they suffer from watching the televised news. It would be useful for the leaders of the so-called allies of the United States to answer these questions as well.

1. Are there any moral issues involved in Imperial Russia’s war on unarmed civilians? Are you moral? Is your behavior moral?

2. If Nazi Germany were in this war, would you recommend intervention?

3. If Paris were attacked in a manner similar to the attack on Kyiv, would you recommend intervention? If yes, why? If no, why not?

4. A one week old baby was killed today. Do you see any evidence of genocide occurring? Do you believe that Imperial Russia is committing genocide?

5. Do you have any “red lines”?

6. Do you believe that democracies should support democracies?

7. Does NATO serve the interests of the United States? Is there any reason for the United States to belong to NATO?

8. Does the United Nations have any role to play in the Imperial Russia-Ukraine War? If so, what is it? Does the UN concern itself with any war involving so called major powers? Should the UN Human Rights Commission exist?

9. Are there any circumstances in which you would send American boys and girls to war? If so, what are they?

10. Just what are America’s vital interests in today’s world?

11. If you wouldn’t send your children to war, are you willing to send someone else’s children to fight and die? Do you favor universal national service?

12. Do you sleep well at night?

These dozen questions are not a complete list. Suffice it to say that the policy elite's answers are required if we are to have an informed public. Answers to these questions would be a good start in achieving that goal.
