The Democrat Party is Under Attack: It Must React Urgently

The Democrat Party is under attack on numerous fronts. Its most serious threat comes from a subtle group of people who identify themselves as democratic socialists and adhere to a movement of the same name. The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) identifies itself as a movement and seeks, successfully at this time, to infiltrate the Democrat Party by means of a technique previously described in this blog known as entryism. The DSA is actively aided by a party known as the Working Families Party, a minor party which is on the ballot in many states and whose stated goal is to push the major party, the Democrats, to the left. Their unstated goal is to capture control of that party.
Many elected officials who are DSA members but are officially listed as Democrats, now sit in the Congress, state legislatures, city councils and other organs of local government and are now running for higher offices with greater influence. Much press has been given to Zohran Mamdani, winner of the June Democrat primary and November mayoral election in New York City against former Governor Andrew Cuomo. Cuomo resigned in disgrace after being elected New York governor three times; he was accused by a dozen women, all state employees, of sexual harassment. Despite Cuomo’s lengthy resume serving as New York Governor and as Secretary of Housing and Urban Development in the Clinton administration, he could not overcome his poor reputation and lost to Mamdani, a relatively obscure state assemblyman who proudly identifies as a democratic socialist. Mamdani, and the DSA offered an attractive vision to many New Yorkers; free bus rides, frozen rents, free child care, city owned supermarkets and taxes on the rich whomever they may be in the socialist mind. Mamdani easily won over Cuomo and Republican nominee Curtis Sliwa with New York’s six to one Democrat registration majority insuring victory for their party’s nominee. In addition to Mamdani’s win, the DSA chalked up another victory when they elected Katie Wilson as Seattle’s Mayor in an upset win over the incumbent.
The effect of the recent DSA electoral success has already encouraged other adherents of the far left movement to prepare for elections in 2026. Chi Osse', a New York City Councilman has announced his intention to challenge House of Representatives minority leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) and Mamdani supporter Brad Lander, currently NY City Comptroller, is eyeing the Brooklyn-Manhattan seat of Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY). The seat of Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) will be open in the next election as he is retiring. Celebrity John B.K. Schlossberg has announced as have multiple others, including socialist Cameron Kasky, who already is advertising his extreme leftist agenda. Talk about DSA adherent Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (AOC) challenging Sen. Charles Schumer (D-NY), the Senate minority leader, in 2028’s Dem primary is also current. Schumer, currently in his fifth term is apparently wearing out his welcome as his current favorability rating in New York is reported at 35%. As we move into the political season of 2026, undoubtedly many more DSA adherents will throw their hats into the ring. As a result of the bipartisan practice of gerrymandering, about ninety percent of House seats are “safe” for the incumbent party. Thus, the only way to defeat an incumbent is through a primary challenge and victory. Primary voter participation is notoriously low and that poor turnout is a great advantage to the well organized candidate. As discussed in a number of previously published posts on this site regarding entryism, the DSA and their ally, the Working Families Party, will be working overtime. The Working Families Party has had the gall to endorse their preferred candidates in this year’s Democrat primaries and even encouraged their adherents to register as Democrats so they could then vote in that primary. Such behavior is unheard of in the United States but is a technique long used by foreign minority authoritarian parties to seize control of a larger, more important party. The DSA insists it is not a party, calling itself a movement (Hitler’s NSDAP-the Nazi Party also called itself a movement). It has a national political committee and branches all over the country and strongly maintains “movement” discipline over its members as former Rep. Jamaal Bowman learned after he had the temerity to visit DSA proscribed Israel. The structure of the DSA organization can be said to resemble “Democratic Centralism”-the model created by Lenin for the Bolshevik (Communist) Party. The DSA and Working Families Party openly promote class warfare, a major Marxist theme. One wonders what, besides the sweet smelling pablum they offer the voters, they really have up their sleeves. The history of the twentieth century warns us we can’t take a chance with them; if they ever achieve power they will never go away and voluntarily cede power.
Some Democrats have responded; more must. Rahm Emanuel, former Mayor of Chicago, Ambassador to Japan and Obama Chief of Staff and Governor Josh Shapiro of Pennsylvania have taken Mamdani to task and denounced “globalizing the intifada" , which Mamdani endorses, as not being the position of their party. Socialism is not the position of the Democrat Party either. The Untied States fought, with the leadership of Presidents of both parties, against tyrannies of all sorts, Fascism, Nazism, Communism and various personal authoritarian tyrants. We just cannot afford to have fought wars all over the globe for freedom to lose it in the voting booth. Throughout our history we have been a capitalist democratic nation. We have thrived, prospered, survived and became a beacon for all of humanity. This cannot be lost. The battle of the ballot is just as serious and potentially as deadly as Anzio, Iwo Jima and Guadalcanal. All democrats must rally for America, for freedom and democracy. Primary Day 2026 will be a serious day. It is not for picnics and BBQs. This domestic threat must be defeated once and for all and is job one for the electorate and all Americans.
